NOKIA POOL PARTY - MUSIC MATTERS 2012

so i was invited to the nokia pool party held at the gorgeous pool of the Ritz Carlton hotel,
part of music/digital matters week in Singapore.

all thanks to my friend Carl, who invited me to the party,
we were all induldging ourselves in Belvedere vodka to the sounds Tony McGuinness of the trance trio, Above & Beyond.

bumped into a couple of familiar faces which is always nice to catch up and some bands who were scheduled to play at the event at Clarke Quay were also mingling in the crowd at the party.

some of them include Hill Kourkoutis, Saidah Baba Talibah, Lucas Silveira, Danielle Duval or collectively known as Hill & The Sky Heroes.. :)

also, towards the end of the party, as i was getting a wee tipsy,

i tripped onto half a pair of Converse as i was returning to the party from the washroom..

guess who?

Chuck Comeau's of simple plan's, who was scheduled to speak at the Music Matters conference later that week.

it was almost surreal speaking to him in that state of mind but i could remember vaguely what we were talking about until he mentioned he remembered me from the airport in jan when the band came to town as part of the Get Your Heart On tour.
and he was so confident he met me at the airport.

well, i was stunned.

we spoke about some random stuff about how he was amazed by after 3/4 connecting flights,
his luggage still managed to land with him after 20 add hours of flying.. HA HA
and then we went on to talk about what i have been doing,
what simple plan is up to and making sure he didnt try to sneak away the other four members in his hotel room upstairs blah blah..
it was good fun..

this just in!!
met pixie lott yeaterday and she was so so nice! :))

bumped into her purely by chance and managed to get to sign some stuff and snap a picture! hee

her manager, also her mother, was so nice to even pass me passes to the show tomorrow evening at zirca when we told her we don't have tickets to the gig heh

here's what she signed for me :)))

now im a happy cat and all set and ready for the show ha ha

so.. after being a fan of sum41 for a while now,
we finally got to meet them in person!!

minus deryck's time management problem which resulted in us missing the opportunity to snap a picture with him, it was really good to have met them finally and have them sign some of my albums as well!

cone is still my favorite member of the band,
he looks good and he smells good too
(okay that might have come across rather.. wrong HA HA)
while stevo seems a little too serious to be in a band
and tom is just cute.

tom even celebrated his birthday in singapore a day prior to their gig here!

here are my signed stuff and im hoping they'd return soon to this part of the world..

just my two cents, maybe they should stick to the older sounds of 'in too deep', 'fat lip' and 'walking disaster'? cause the newer stuff sounds rather.. 'noisyyyy..' #justsaying ha ha

BOBBY BURNS was in town playing the opening set for afrojack on some of the dates.

and whatever publicity images you might have seen of him, don't believe anything you see because he looks wayyyyyyyy better, no kidding!!

he is nice, hot and he's got very nice hand writing too!

am pretty sure you've heard that line more than 5 years ago on the radio or almost anywhere in the world and yes the scottish singer popped by our shores for a sneaky free gig at timbre substation late february and we managed to catch her as she landed at changi and she was so lovelyy..
